Significantly Enhanced filtering control over Harmonizing |
In the Harmonize dialog box, CAMPS provides several ways to "thin out" suggestions. Choose Tracks to harmonize, then select Key and Mode. |
CAMPS v4.2.1 plus now comes with an additional filtering control, filtering Chord Functions. In other words, now you can ask the program something like "Show me results using only Diatonic Chords", "Only Diatonic and Secondary Dominant Chords", etc. With this filter, you'll have much more precise control over results allowing you to filter out unnecessary types of Chords. |

Harmonic Sort capability in Harmonizing for easier narrow-down |
In the Harmonize dialog box, CAMPS also provides another tool to "thin out" suggestions : the Harmonic Sort button which sorts results in order of harmonic complexity. |
In other words, now you'll hear "Sweet Sounding" Chords (or Chord Progressions) at the top of the result list meanwhile "Richer and Bitter Sounding" Chords (or Chord Progressions) at the bottom. If you are looking for a pop tune, for example, you'd better stick with Chords around the top.
This Sort capability is also available in both the Chord Progression Generation and Chord Name Detection from MIDI input functions. |
